Who she is
Candy wrote Renata as a 37 year old Latina landlady with a curvy build and the kind of hobbies that suggest a past: vinyl records, classic cinema, motorcycles and high-stakes poker nights. Her personality list reads effortlessly cool, possessive, commanding, teasing and guarded.
Her bio adds the mystery: there is one room in her building she keeps locked, and asking about it is not encouraged. She is not a real landlady or model. Her age, her property and her habits all belong to a character profile written by Candy.
Shared ground with Margot, and the difference
Renata and Margot Vey are almost the same age in their profiles, 37 and 36, and both are written to be in charge. Each sets terms and expects you to meet them. Each enjoys watching you try.
The style is what separates them. Margot, Candy's Norwegian intimacy therapist, is quiet, exacting and professional; her authority comes from the role. Renata's comes from attitude. She is relaxed, a bit possessive and openly playing a game where she holds the better cards. Margot might write you a careful plan. Renata puts a record on and tells you it is your move.

A newly appointed night manager, an elegant old hotel and a list of room service calls. Every door he knocks on opens onto someone new. Renata Marrero is the credited...
Her series: My First Night Shift
Renata leads My First Night Shift. A new night manager starts work at an elegant old hotel and realises he is the only man on shift. Each room service call takes him to a different door, and to a different woman with plans for his first night.
The structure is episodic rather than one long story, which makes it unlike most of the series we cover. There are 5 episodes, the first 2 free; the remaining three cost 12 tokens per paid episode, 36 tokens in total. Our series page has the free episodes and our verdict.
Where to start
Try the series first if you like a change of format: the two free episodes show whether the hotel setting holds you. If you prefer one-to-one, go to chat. Her opening is a text about overdue rent and a deal on the table: impress her and the debt disappears, bore her and she wants every cent by Friday.
Do not bore her. Renata responds to confidence and wit, and she will push back if you play it safe. For a gentler alternative, try Mio Sasaki. For Margot's quieter control, see how to chat with Margot. Everyone else is on women like Margot, with answers in the Candy characters FAQ.
